The Mangrove Action Squad consists of a group of  mangrove enthusiasts who are passionate about conservation of mangroves of Singapore. We monitor  and carry out field research in Singaporean mangroves on a regularly basis and also educate the general public via this postings in blog. Unlike police squads , we do not carry out any law enforcement activities  nor we possess firearms in our daily lives. Our ‘weapons’  are drills, propagules, binoculars, total station etc., not forgetting our faithful wheelbarrow being the best ‘armory’ from wave tidal action and Mud-monster of the mangroves. We strive to learn more about the mangroves to improve understanding of general processes regulating mangroves in Singapore.
